NOVA Students Explore Cairo Photo Week as Part of Experiential Learning at TKH As part of the Personal Development I course offered by NOVA Information Management programme at The Knowledge Hub Universities (TKH), students recently participated in a field trip designed to enhance their experiential learning through artistic and architectural exploration. The visit took place today, under the guidance and organization of Ms. Amira Al-Basiony, English Lecturer and Course Professor.

The day began with an immersive tour of Cairo Photo Week 2025, an iconic event hosted across multiple vibrant venues in Downtown Cairo, including Cinema Radio, the Factory, and Access Arts. Students experienced a variety of visually striking exhibitions and vineyard-inspired installations, uniquely integrated into the city’s urban fabric. This engaging setting offered students an opportunity to explore visual storytelling, spatial creativity, and contemporary design practices.

The field trip forms an essential component of the students’ Proposal Writing assignment, which tasks them with critically analysing the artistic vineyards they encountered during the visit. Students are encouraged to assess the aesthetic and functional aspects of these spaces and develop thoughtful recommendations for renovation or revitalisation. This activity blends critical observation with creative problem-solving, allowing students to evaluate real-world environments through an academic lens.

NOVA Students Explore Cairo Photo Week as Part of Experiential Learning at TKHProf. Al-Basiony emphasised the importance of these practical learning opportunities in complementing the course’s objectives. “This field trip allowed students to step outside the classroom and engage with real spaces where art, culture, and design converge. It was a valuable exercise in connecting theory with practice,” she shared.

The experience highlights NOVA’s commitment to innovative, student-centred education at TKH, empowering learners to develop both analytical and creative competencies in meaningful ways.
