Cairo, Egypt – May 2026 – The School of Design and Media at Coventry University Branch at The Knowledge Hub Universities (TKH) successfully concluded its 4th annual Design and Media Expo 2026, themed “Terminal 6,” at TKH Campus. The event brought together students, academics, industry professionals, parents, and visitors for a full day celebrating creativity, innovation, and emerging talent across the design and media disciplines.
Inspired by the concept of an airport terminal, the expo delivered an immersive and carefully curated experience that guided attendees through a creative journey showcasing student work from across the School. The exhibition featured projects in graphic design, animation, filmmaking, photography, game design, and digital media, highlighting the students’ technical capabilities, creative vision, and industry-focused education.
The day commenced with registration and an opening speech delivered by Professor Dr. Shahira Samir Acting President at TKH and Professor Ebtissam Farid, Head of Coventry School of Design & Media, welcoming attendees and reflecting on the importance of creative education in shaping the future of the industry. Visitors then explored the “Meet the Pilots” academic session, where faculty members engaged with guests and provided insights into the programmes and creative processes behind the showcased projects.
Attendees were also taken through an “in-flight” curated walkthrough experience, designed to mirror the journey of travelling through a terminal, before concluding the event with a closing film screening that brought together the visual storytelling and cinematic work developed by students throughout the academic year.
The expo provided students with the opportunity to present their work to a wider audience while fostering engagement between academia and industry. “Terminal 6” also reflected Coventry University Cairo’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of creative professionals by providing students with practical learning experiences and exposure to industry standards and audiences.
Through events such as the Design and Media Expo, Coventry University Cairo Branch at TKH continues to reinforce its role as a hub for innovation, creativity, and future-ready education in Egypt’s growing creative industries sector.
