The Knowledge Hub Universities in partnership with Nova University Lisbon is proud to announce hosting “Reimagine Education Awards & Conference” known as “Oscars of Education” for the first time in Egypt and the region.

Reimagine Education is a global conference and competition, open to educational innovators from all around the world. The conference brings together edtech startups, academic faculty from top institutions, Chief Innovation Officers, university leadership, teachers, and other stakeholders in the future of higher education teaching and learning.

Ihab Salama – CEO of El Sewedy Education & Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Knowledge Hub Universities – stated “It’s an honor for The Knowledge Hub Universities to host the “QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference” or as it’s called “The Oscars of Education”. Hosting this event in Cairo is a true honor to us and our partners Nova University Lisbon as it’s the first of its kind to be hosted in Africa.”

TKH-NOVA-QSReimagine Education, hosted this year by The Knowledge Hub Universities and Nova University Lisbon, is organized by QS Quacquarelli Symonds – compilers of the QS World University Rankings – and The Wharton School.

Nunzio Quacquarelli, President, QS Quacquarelli Symonds and Founder, Reimagine Education Awards stated “We seek to examine the fundamental ways in which both education and work are going to change over the coming decades – and to make sure the world is prepared for those changes.

No one sector has all the answers here. We need government input; we need universities at the table; we need employers to tell us what they need to thrive throughout the fourth Industrial Revolution. So we bring Google, Microsoft and Amazon to the table, we bring leaders from government educational departments, we bring MIT and UCL, and we bring those behind some of the best edtech startups in the world.

They come together, and each brings their needs, concerns, and perspectives with them. The result is something far more than just a trade show – it’s a forum that does more than perhaps any other to foster an integrated, holistic understanding of the future of education.”

Now in its 9th year, and contested by 1400 applicants in 2021, the Awards scheme is again offering USD 50,000 in funding and worldwide visibility via QS channels to educators, universities, edtech companies and NGOs that can offer an outstanding example of pedagogical innovation. With 18 Award Categories and further awards by region and by discipline, there is the possibility of your institution receiving multiple recognitions.

João SàáguaRector of NOVA University Lisbon – added “Hosting the world’s leading award program and conference for teaching and learning innovation, for the first time in Africa, in NOVA’s new campus in Cairo, is an honor and a recognition of our University’s academic value”
