Students presenting engineering graduation projects at Coventry University Cairo Engineering Expo 2026

The Knowledge Hub Universities (TKH), host campus of Coventry University Cairo Branch, successfully hosted the fourth edition of its annual Engineering Expo under the theme: “Engineering for Life: Crafting Minds, Shaping Futures.”

The expo brought together students, academics, industry leaders — led by Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy, Chancellor of Coventry University and CEO of El Sewedy Electric — alongside media representatives and distinguished guests, in a vibrant showcase of innovative engineering projects, creative solutions, and graduation projects reflecting the capabilities and future vision of students from the School of Engineering.

This year’s edition reinforced the university’s commitment to applied learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and industry integration, as students presented projects addressing real-world challenges across mechanical, civil, electrical, and electronic engineering disciplines.

The event welcomed several prominent figures, including Mr Mark Bryson-Richardson MBE, UK Ambassador to Egypt; Eng. Mohamed Abdelghany, President of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate; Mr. Mark Howard, Country Director of the British Council in Egypt; and Prof. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Advisor to the Ministry on Coventry University and Nova University branches. Their attendance reflected the strong collaboration between academia, industry, and governmental institutions in supporting future engineering talent.
