The Knowledge Hub Universities (TKH), in collaboration with Elsewedy Electric, successfully hosted a Safety Awareness Session for professional and academic staff, reinforcing the shared belief that safety goes beyond policies and procedures — it is a responsibility and an essential part of everyday culture.
Held as part of the ongoing strategic collaboration between TKH and Elsewedy Electric, the session was led by Eng. Medhat Younis, HSE Director at Elsewedy Electric, and brought together colleagues from across the TKH community for a practical, interactive look at safety in the workplace and on campus.
The session explored a wide range of critical safety topics, including fire incidents and emergency response, safety guidelines and restricted areas, and practical emergency preparedness. Through interactive discussions and knowledge sharing, attendees were given the opportunity to engage directly with real-life scenarios, ask questions, and exchange perspectives on how to build a safer environment for the entire community.
Eng. Medhat Younis drew on his extensive HSE expertise to guide attendees through practical response strategies, emphasizing the importance of preparedness, awareness, and quick decision-making in emergency situations. The session’s interactive format encouraged active participation, with attendees recognized through awards for their engagement and contribution throughout the discussion.
The session served as a valuable step in strengthening the collaboration between TKH and Elsewedy Electric’s HSE team, and in fostering a stronger, safer culture across the entire TKH community. It also served as a preparatory milestone ahead of TKH’s upcoming Safety Campaign Week, extending safety awareness and engagement to the wider community.
