As part of its commitment to enriching the student experience beyond the classroom, The Knowledge Hub Universities (TKH) recently organized the Student Union Senior Trip to Georgia, providing graduating students with a unique opportunity to explore, connect, and celebrate the culmination of their university journey.

The trip brought together TKH seniors for an immersive experience in Tbilisi, Georgia’s vibrant capital, known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and stunning landscapes. From the moment of arrival, students followed a carefully curated program that balanced cultural exploration, natural beauty, and meaningful group experiences.

The journey began with a guided city tour of Old Tbilisi, where students discovered iconic landmarks such as Narikala Fortress, accessed by funicular, the historic sulfur baths of Abanotubani, and some of the city’s oldest churches, including Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica. These visits offered students a deeper appreciation of Georgia’s architectural heritage and historical significance.

Beyond the capital, the trip ventured into Georgia’s scenic regions. A full-day visit to Sighnaghi and Bodbe Monastery introduced students to the Kakheti region, offering panoramic views of the Alazani Valley and insights into Georgia’s religious and cultural roots. Another highlight was the journey along the Georgian Military Highway, with stops at Ananuri Fortress and Gudauri, where students enjoyed breathtaking mountain vistas and memorable photo opportunities.

Nature also took center stage, particularly during the visit to Dashbashi Canyon, one of Georgia’s most remarkable natural attractions. Students explored dramatic cliffs and waterfalls, and experienced the Diamond Bridge, a glass-bottom walkway offering unforgettable views of the canyon below. The trip also included a visit to Mtskheta, Georgia’s ancient capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where students explored landmarks central to the country’s Christian heritage.

Beyond sightseeing, the trip provided time for students to relax, socialize, and reflect on their university years, strengthening friendships and creating memories that will last long after graduation. Dedicated chaperones and tour leaders ensured a safe, well-organized, and enjoyable experience throughout the journey.

The Student Union Senior Trip to Georgia exemplifies TKH’s holistic approach to student development, emphasizing cultural exposure, global awareness, and community building as essential parts of the university experience. Returning students brought home not just stories and photographs, but cherished memories marking a meaningful milestone in their TKH journey.
