On Wednesday, February 12th, our Foundation Year students took part in a distinguished academic event, presenting their research on the architectural design and renovation strategies of historical palaces in Zamalek. Their work focused on Aisha Fahmy Palace, highlighting their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world architectural challenges.
The research presentations not only reflected the students’ analytical depth but also demonstrated their fluency in English, research proficiency, and strong presentation skills. Their insights shed light on the preservation and adaptive reuse of historical landmarks, reinforcing the significance of architectural heritage in contemporary urban landscapes.
Adding to the event’s prestige, esteemed NOVA faculty members, including Professor Francisco Caramelo, NOVA Cairo Branch Director, were in attendance. Professor Caramelo led the honorary ceremony, presenting Certificates of Appreciation to students in recognition of their outstanding performance in Technical English and their exceptional efforts during the Zamalek field trip presentations.
This event stands as a testament to our students’ academic excellence and commitment to bridging historical insights with modern architectural solutions.
