Coventry University Cairo, based at The Knowledge Hub Universities, proudly participated in the IEEE Computer Society R8 Artificial Intelligence Caravan in Egypt—an initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration between academia and industry in the field of artificial intelligence.
The six-month initiative officially kicked off at TKH’s School of Computing, marking the beginning of a national effort to raise AI awareness and build capacity across various sectors.
Representing Coventry University Cairo was Dr. Batoul Haidar, Course Director of Computer Science, who joined a panel of experts and academic leaders from top institutions including the University of Louisville (USA), Nile University, Egypt University of Informatics, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, the American University in Cairo, the German University in Cairo, and more.
The discussions focused on the potential of AI applications in areas such as financial technology, education, healthcare, and cybersecurity. Delegates explored opportunities for applied research, innovation, and specialized training programs aimed at supporting Egypt’s digital transformation.
