The Knowledge Hub Universities’ School of Computing at Coventry University branch is thrilled to announce a significant milestone. On Sunday, June 2, 2024, TKH President, Prof. Dr. Yasser Sakr, formalized three pivotal Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with leading organizations in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology.

The agreements were signed with the following pioneering companies:

  • Kemet Artificial Intelligence: A trailblazer in AI services and chatbot solutions at both the Egyptian and regional levels.
  • Dark Entry: A Netherlands-based leader in Cybersecurity services and Darkweb monitoring solutions, recognized at regional and international levels.
  • Master Linux: A distinguished provider of IT training, services, and solutions, renowned across Egypt and the region.

The signing ceremony was a momentous occasion, attended by key figures from each organization:

  • Abdo Farouk, Chief Executive Officer at Kemet.AI
  • Ebrahem Hegazy, Chief Technology Officer at Dark Entry
  • Mohamed Abd El Hakim, Chief Technology Officer at Master Linux
  • Ahmed Zeid, Business Development Executive at Master Linux
  • Islam Fathy, Head of Security Services at E-VAS TEL

 

Representatives from TKH included:

  • Aziz M. Barbar, Head of the School of Computing
  • Eman Shaltout, Course Director for the Psychology programme
  • Elwyn Lloyd, Head of the Department of English for Academic Purposes
  • Haitham Ghalwash, Course Director for the Ethical Hacking & Cybersecurity programme
  • Batoul Haidar, Acting Course Director for the Computer Science programme
  • May Shalaby, Lecturer in the Ethical Hacking & Cybersecurity programme

These MOUs aim to foster and enhance collaborative relationships between TKH and the aforementioned companies, leveraging their respective expertise. The agreements include several key initiatives:

  • Exchange of Expertise: Facilitating the sharing of knowledge and skills between professors and students in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Ethical Hacking & Cybersecurity, Computer Science, and Software Engineering.
  • Student Placements: Promoting student engagement through training sessions, internships, workshops, final year projects, and seminars, benefiting both the students and the partnering companies.
  • Collaborative Research: Encouraging joint research projects between professors and industry managers, driving innovation and practical applications.
  • Event Hosting: Allowing TKH to host conferences, workshops, and seminars of mutual interest, enhancing the learning and professional environment.
  • Industry Advisory Board: Abdo Farouk, Eng. Ebrahem Hegazy, and Eng. Mohamed Abd El Hakim will serve as Industry Advisory Board members for the School of Computing, providing valuable insights and suggestions to align academic programmes with market needs and trends.

These strategic partnerships mark a significant step forward in TKH’s commitment to academic excellence and industry relevance, paving the way for future innovations and opportunities in the fields of AI, Cybersecurity and IT.
