The Knowledge Hub Universities (TKH) recently welcomed a distinguished delegation from Coventry University’s School of Engineering. The visiting delegation included Dr. Ramy Shaltout, Chief Academic Advisor for the School of Engineering at Coventry University Branch at TKH, and Dr. Shervin Motamedi, Director and Council Member at the Institute of Highway Engineers (UK) and Senior Lecturer at Coventry University. The visit underscored TKH’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards while fostering pathways for future careers in engineering.

The primary objective of this visit was twofold: to monitor the progress of the ongoing Course Transformation Programme to ensure that the Coventry University Branch at TKH continues to deliver an outstanding learning experience, and to inspire civil engineering students to consider dynamic careers in the highway and transportation sector. Dr. Shaltout and Dr. Motamedi encouraged students to explore the rewarding opportunities within this industry, highlighting the future potential for professional registration that could expand career prospects both locally and internationally.

Adding a special touch to the event, several TKH alumni returned to campus to meet the visiting faculty and share their own professional journeys with current students. Alumni attendees included:

  • Farah Farid, a Civil Engineering graduate, currently working as a Civil Engineer at Cairo International Airport and serving as a Property Consultant at The Address Investments.
  • Amr Al Qarmalawi, a graduate in Digital Media, who has established himself as a Creative and Film Director.
  • Omar Sharaky, an alumnus in Ethical-Hacking & Cybersecurity, now working as a Cybersecurity Consultant at Inovasys and the Founder of Next Level Sports Complex.
  • Shahinaz El Masry, Interior Architecture graduate, now working as the Brand Manager at Alchemy Design Studio.

This event provided a valuable opportunity for students to network with both visiting academics and accomplished alumni, fostering connections that underscore the vibrant TKH community and its commitment to career-ready education. The Knowledge Hub Universities remain dedicated to guiding students toward professional excellence and encouraging alumni engagement in nurturing the next generation of leaders in their respective fields.
