Nova Cairo held the first Portuguese Experience day NOVA FESTA on Sunday, 4th of September, 2022. TKH and Nova University celebrated the Nova Cairo’s presidential decree and welcomed Nova’s academic team to campus. We were honored that H.E Manuela Franco; Ambassador of Portugal to Egypt and Mr. Rui Vitoria; Head Coach of Egypt’s National Football Team joined us at Nova Festa as special Guests of Honor.
We’ve previously mentioned that the Portugal’s prominent Nova University Lisbon is set to open its doors this September, at The Knowledge Hub Universities, located in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.
Getting ready for the new academic year 2022-2023, Nova Cairo has announced it is now accepting admissions for its five programmes; Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Information Management, Management and Applied Mathematics to Risk Management.
It’s also worth mentioning that Professor Francisco Caramelo has been appointed as the Nova University Lisbon branch director of Cairo campus. He is a Full Professor and has an experience of 35 years in academia. With around 150 papers and book chapters, published in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, several authored and co-edited books, director and co-director of several research projects, Professor Francisco Caramelo is a reputed researcher and Professor.
Before joining The Knowledge Hub of Universities, Professor Francisco Caramelo was six years Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Vice-Dean for Curricular Management. He was also Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of NOVA University Lisbon during six years.
Professor Francisco Caramelo expressed his pleasure in partnering with The Knowledge Hub of Universities and to establish the NOVA Cairo branch at TKH campus as the first ever branch for a Portuguese University outside Portuguese borders and stated “We come to Cairo to participate on this wonderful experience with an esteemed partner and to be part of an important experience and mission.

The Knowledge Hub Universities is offering all September 2022 students applying to Nova University a special scholarship of 2000 Euros on tuition fees annually, additionally, a full and partial academic and athletic scholarship will be offered to qualified students.
