The School of Design and Media at Coventry University Cairo Branch at TKH successfully concluded the Collaborative Design – Final Showcase in Downtown Cairo, bringing together students from Interior Architecture & Design, Digital Media, and Film Production in a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration, and interdisciplinary innovation.
Held across May 5–6, the exhibition welcomed visitors, industry professionals, academics, creatives, and guests to experience a series of projects developed through shared exploration and experimentation under the theme of the “Invisible City.”
The showcase transformed ideas into immersive experiences, revealing unseen layers of urban life through spatial design, film, digital storytelling, and interactive media. Students demonstrated how different creative disciplines can intersect to produce work that is both conceptually rich and socially engaging.
From thought-provoking installations and cinematic narratives to immersive digital experiences, the exhibition highlighted the power of collaboration in pushing creative boundaries and shaping new perspectives on the relationship between people, spaces, and cities.
The VIP opening on May 5 brought together distinguished guests, industry representatives, and members of the creative community, offering an opportunity to engage directly with the students and explore the processes behind their work. The public exhibition on May 6 continued to attract visitors throughout the day, turning the Downtown venue into a dynamic platform for dialogue, experimentation, and artistic exchange.
The Collaborative Design – Final Showcase reflects the School of Design and Media’s commitment to interdisciplinary learning and creative practice, encouraging students to challenge conventions, work across specialisations, and create meaningful experiences that extend beyond traditional design boundaries.
Through this exhibition, students not only presented final projects, but also demonstrated the value of collaboration as a catalyst for innovation, critical thinking, and creative impact.
