Welcome to the Department of Psychology where our goal is to implement scientific, empirical methods to the study of the human experience.
The questions at the heart of most psychological research are those that have occupied the greatest philosophical and scientific minds of our time. There is an undeniable curiosity about why people are the way that they are, and how they develop and adapt to almost any circumstance. We are innately drawn to analysing the behaviour of those around us, in order to draw patterns and predict actions to avoid consequences. In fact, psychology is all around us and we are all practising in one way or another the study of psychology in our daily life. However, to supplement this natural curiosity with the structure of the scientific method provides reliability and validity of the conclusions we make regarding human behaviour. This is the scientific study of psychology that we teach at Coventry University Cairo Branch.
