The Knowledge Hub And Coventry University Visit Schools For Information Sessions About The Branch Opening In Sept. 2019

Last week, El Sewedy Education hosted delegates from Coventry University to raise awareness about their partnership and the branch campus being established in The Knowledge Hub, located in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.

Dr. Philip Lewis, Associate Head of School International School of Mechanics, Aerospace, and Automotive Engineering, Ms. Roxana Aldea, Partnership Manager from Coventry University, Ihab Salama, CEO of El Sewedy Education, Dr. Mohamed Loutfi, President of The Knowledge Hub, and Nancy El Sisi, Student Services Manager held information sessions at several international schools in Cairo to highlight the academic programs Coventry University plans to offer in September 2019.

Inaugurating opening day by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salamah, General Secretary of the Union of Arab Universities, and Dr. Ali Shams El Din, Former President of Benha University and Chairman of the Al-Ahram Foundation.

A seminar attended by over 100 councilors, parents, and prospective students, organized by The Knowledge Hub and Coventry University at one of New Cairo’s hotels, where Dr. Philip and Ms. Roxana led the seminar discussing the proposed faculties; Engineering, Computing, and Design and Media.

Coventry University will offer the same curriculum, teaching methodologies, quality assurance, providing the exact same bachelor’s degree offered in the UK. In addition, Mr. Ihab Salama presented the facilities The Knowledge Hub will offer to our students, and the strategic plan for the institution.

Ihab Salama, CEO of El Sewedy Education, stated, “El Sewedy Education’s strategy for The Knowledge Hub is establishing an international institution that offers the best standards of academics, in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and to implement the latest technology, services, and facilities.”

The next phase of the center will also provide access for newly-established startups to find investment opportunities among interested investors, grants and other funds to scale their businesses beyond incubation and face the challenges that come with growth and success.

One of the first outputs of this partnership is a series of events under the brand: “Young Talents – Entrepreneurship Day” and organized by El Sewedy Education, the Embassy of Italy in Cairo, E4Impact and Fekretak Sherketak, in partnership with AlexBank and the online magazine E7kky. The launch event will be on 22nd April 2020 and it will provide mentoring, networking opportunities, workshops and talks delivered by key figures in the market to entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. Furthermore, entrepreneurs attending the event will get a chance to present their ideas and get selected to the first incubation cycle by El Sewedy Education and E4Impact in Egypt, due to start in a few months.
